My name is Fawad Shah and I am Registered Addiction Practitioner, Certified Professional Counsellor & Male Sensitive Practitioner with professional work experience within the field of addictions and mental health treatment expending over 10 years. I have worked 1:1 with individuals, couples, families and groups from various cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds in multiple clinical settings. I have worked in New Zealand, Pakistan & Thailand. I gained my Bachelor Degree in Counselling Studies from New Zealand. I currently hold Registration and Affiliations with following Professional Bodies; "NZ Association of Counsellors Inc (NZAC)", “Drug and Alcohol Practitioner Association of Aotearoa NZ (DAPAANZ)", Professional Membership with "American Counselling Association (ACA)" & International Membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
At present, I am working from my private counselling/psychotherapy practice here in Karachi with the name ‘Mindful Healing’.However, I also see International and Local clients via online therapy sessions. Within my practice, I dedicate my time and expertise and conduct individual, couple and family counselling/therapy sessions both in person and through telemental health (distance therapy).
I consider myself as a creative and adaptive therapist. I am passionate and highly motivated about working and supporting individuals’, their families and carers who are experiencing and dealing with emotional, psychological, interpersonal and addiction problems/challenges in their lives…. to move them from SURVIVE to THRIVE and the possibilities of a healthy and happy life.
